You’ve come to a place where you can feel seen and find your true self!
About Ryan
As a queer, kinky person from the South, I understand what it’s like to move through the world without being fully seen or able to live authentically. I also know what it’s like to unlearn societal expectations and reconnect with the ways I want to show up in my life and in my relationships. My passion is supporting others in doing the same, by creating space where clients feel accepted and celebrated in their identities and experiences.
I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the foundation of growth and healing. While theory and technique are certainly important, I believe that healing happens in connection, with yourself and with others, including your therapist! When we’re journeying together down this path of self-discovery and healing, I’m not here to tell you what to do, or what’s right or wrong. I’m here to walk by your side, to not only hear, but to witness your story as it unfolds. Not just the chapters that are hard to tell, but the ones that bring joy to your world. When we’re able to have autonomy and agency over our story, we grant ourselves the permission we need to exist how we want.
I approach therapy through a humanistic lens, meeting the client where they’re at. My focus is in Mindfulness-based Transpersonal Counseling, which incorporates mindfulness techniques such as meditation, mindful awareness, spirituality, and mind-body connection. I love utilizing imagery and metaphor to help share stories through Narrative Therapy, while also integrating Gestalt Therapy, somatic work, and radical acceptance. I love working with topics around sex, sexuality, kink, authentic relating, queerness, grief and mourning, and hope to bring healing back to my community in an environment that is collaborative and consensual. Reach out if you think we’d be a good fit or have any questions, and I look forward to hearing your story!
My doors are open to all walks of life. I invite you to bring your true sense of self
