Meet

Emily McAfee, SWC

I am a sex, trauma, and relationship therapist with a deep passion for my work and desire to help you achieve your goals.

About Emily

I work with teens, adults, and couples. I am especially passionate about working with clients to explore emerging identities, mismatched desires,  (LGBTQ+ identities, non-monogamy, coming out), unpack negative body image and societal messaging about bodies (body liberation), improve communication and relational skills, and recover from sexual, relationship, religious, and medical trauma. I am passionate about the way our bodies are impacted by gender, sexuality, race, and ability.

In addition to talk therapy, I offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) sessions. EMDR therapy helps heal trauma and can lessen negative reactions to trauma triggers, allowing clients to live with less anxiety, fear, and distress.

As a sex therapist and social worker, I am committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to share their experiences and concerns. To better accommodate the needs of my clients, I am available for both telehealth and in-person sessions. I’m excited to meet  you!
