Meet
Emily McAfee, LSW
Hello! I am a licensed therapist committed to helping individuals heal from trauma, build self-worth, and foster more authentic connections with themselves and others. I offer a nonjudgmental, collaborative space where all identities, bodies, and relationship structures are welcomed and affirmed.
About Emily
My work is grounded in a deep understanding of sexual and religious trauma, and I offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to support trauma processing and nervous system healing. I also work extensively with individuals navigating body image, diet culture, and shame, through a Health at Every Size® (HAES)-informed lens.
I support clients who are struggling with self-criticism, comparison, stigma, and the ongoing impact of cultural and systemic pressures on identity and self-worth. Whether you’re unlearning internalized narratives or learning to trust yourself again, I’m here to support that process.
I work affirmatively with all relationship structures, including non-monogamy, polyamory, kink, and other forms of relational diversity. Whether you’re exploring boundaries, healing attachment wounds, or navigating relationship challenges, I provide a space that honors your values and lived experience.
Above all, my goal is to help you reconnect with your inner wisdom, increase self-compassion, and move through the world with more freedom and clarity. Healing is possible, and you don’t have to do it alone.
