“You do not have to be good. You do not have to walk on your knees for a hundred miles through the desert, repenting. You only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves.”

Meet

Kate Maas,
LPCC Intern

Welcome to a judgement-free space for exploring questions around relationship, sexuality, and identity. My goal is to help you to flourish, uncovering what that means to each individual or relationship.

About Kate

I work with individuals and partnerships. Whether you are exploring communication, kink, asexuality, or whatever it may be, your journey is welcome here. Some of my focuses have been self expression, gender identity & transitions, sexuality, queerness, grief, partnership, and sexual exploration. I come from a mindfulness-based, somatic background and bring a warm, open-minded presence to the therapy space. I am passionate about helping my clients to get in tune with their bodies and emotions as a means of cultivating the most fulfilling lives, sexual experiences, and relationships possible. I have also studied multicultural foundations and draw much inspiration from a gestalt framework. This means that part of our work will involve getting familiar with the stories and behavioral patterns framing your life. From here we reclaim your right to choose patterns of pleasure, connection, and joy.

In my free time you will find me making art, playing in nature, nourishing my body with movement and food, and spending time with my loved ones. I also love to incorporate art therapy techniques and movement into sessions when appropriate.
