Devote yourself to your partner’s sense of safety and security and not simply to your idea about what that should be. What may make you feel safe and secure may not be what your partner requires from you. Your job is to know what matters to your partner and how to make him or her feel safe and secure.

About Laura
Some people say that life and relationships are hard. I prefer to conceptualize them as complex. I have a history of being able to help my clients sort out the complexities of life and help you better understand important parts that make you, you. Big picture, my goal is to help you thrive, however that looks for you.
I work with individuals and couples in a variety of relationship configurations. I can work with anything that has to do with sex, intimacy, and relationships. Areas of focus for me are ethical non-monogamy, polyamory, infidelity, relational trauma, sexual desire discrepancy, power dynamics, kink, and intimacy issues.
As a Chinese American Adoptee, I am familiar with the intense challenges and extraordinary rewards that come with racial diversity. I have lived experience in many matters related to racial identity. As such, I also do a great deal of work with clients on many issues related to race and ethnicity, including racial identity development, ethnic identity development, and mixed-race relationships.
My experience includes work as an addiction counselor in substance abuse, which often overlaps with sexual health and transcends multi-generational lines.
Outside of my professional life that I love so much, I enjoy navigating my own life in open relationships, hanging with my cats, and playing trombone. I am active with the Asian community in Denver and enjoy organizing fun events to connect people!
