About Matty

It is a privilege to become quiet and present to the truth of what we feel. In my own life, giving space to understand, without judgement, what is happening on an emotional level has given me space to grow with more acceptance and gentleness. I try and offer such a space to the people with whom I work and I believe it starts with a simple but often neglected truth: we are all deserving of care, from ourselves and from those we trust. 

Maybe you are at sea amidst big change. Perhaps your relationship with sex and your body has become complicated by a limiting belief or a cultural message that is no longer serving you. I draw on principles from Narrative Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy to consider how the stories we tell ourselves and the quality of our relationships can be two guiding lights as we journey within ourselves and consider how we want to live. I strive to make therapy an environment that is collaborative and creative – a place in which you might feel empowered to embrace change and own the healing you are seeking. I am looking forward to meeting you!

I specialize in working with couples and diverse relationship structures. In addition, I enjoy working with male-identifying clients and helping to broaden the range of emotional expression available to them. Other specialties include: LGBTQ+ clients, desire discrepancy, infidelity, erectile disappointment/functioning. 

I am a Colorado transplant from Northern California – I deeply miss coastal drives and the smell of eucalyptus trees! I love taking in a slow morning with a cup of coffee with a splash of heavy whipping cream and some delicious fiction (lately I’ve been tearing through queer romance novels). I am equal parts drawn to the bustle of New York City and the calm of a solo camping trip and my life feels richer when I honor these opposing parts of myself.
