About Sophia

To me, counseling is a calling and something I take great pride in. My clients describe me as present, caring, authentic and vibrant. I use a combination of narrative therapy + attachment theory + the assignment of experiential exercises or ‘homework’ between sessions to help my clients meet their goals.

My areas of specialization include: open relationships, monogamy 2.0, Kink/BDSM, out-of-control sexual behavior, discernment therapy + conscious uncoupling & pre-marital therapy. I also specialize in helping people recover from people-pleasing. Outside of work, I take great pride in serving my community. I am proud that my professional life is heavily influenced by my personal self. I look forward to meeting you.

Relationships & sex are both avenues for exploring the unconscious drives and desires that motivate us. I work with couples and individuals. I use a combination of self-inquiry attachment, and narrative therapy to help my clients connect with their sexuality and reclaim their birthright as fully developed confident beings. Tension or shame in your intimate life can impact your health, work, and other relationships. Let’s work through any confusion or hurt you might be carrying alone. If you are also looking to feel more empowered in your sexual identities and/or work on who you are as a partner in relationship, let’s work together.

I provide culturally-sensitive, sex-positive therapy that acknowledges the importance of social identities. My practice is built on the fundamental belief that sexual liberation is an issue of both social justice and mental health. By continually supporting and gently challenging my clients, I am able to help them re-discover their own self-awareness on the path to creating richer and more fulfilling lives.
